TEAM

A core group of Senior Team Leaders help guide a dedicated and highly trained team of Residential Care Workers care for children and young people with learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviour.
In addition to their knowledge and experience, staff at The Beeches are selected based on their ability to support others in a team environment, ultimately leading to a high level of seamless support to all the children and young people placed in their care.

Residential Care Workers are a key component to the success and smooth running of the home.
They often work with the same child on a regular basis which allows them to understand the child’s likes and dislikes.

Some of their responsibilities include:

  • Planning of their time with the children – arranging appropriate activities
  • Ensuring the child’s physical and emotional needs are met
  • Promoting themselves as positive role models
  • Helping children establish constructive relationships with others
  • Positive re-enforcement promoting high self-esteem
  • Enabling choice and independence

Each child has a team of Key Workers whose responsibility is to the individual as set out in the National Care Standards guidelines.
Staff members are given the opportunity to express any issues as and when they arise, in addition to the weekly team meetings.
