The Cedars is our third residential childcare provision here at The Beeches, opening its doors on Conquest Drove, Farcet in 2020. It is a residential care home for children with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.

The home provides a family atmosphere for young people at a time of change, undertaking preparation for placement work through assessing the potential for success and assisting in the development of all of our young people.

  • Registered to care for four children aged between 8 and 18 years of age.
  • 52 week a year residential care.
  • Fully equipped staff office.
  • Gated access, surrounded by fields and horse stables providing a tranquil environment.
  • 4 well-appointed bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms.
  • ‘Chillout room’ with a table tennis table, smart TV, beanbags and games. It can also be used as an area for sensory needs.
  • Sporting equipment available.
  • Community resources such as sports facilities, cinemas etc. available nearby.

Local area

The Cedars is located in the village of Farcet, within Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

It is only a few miles away from Peterborough City Centre, between Yaxley and the Peterborough suburb of Old Fletton.

Peterborough is a Cathedral City with good rail, bus and road network links that are easily accessible.

Peterborough offers a variety of things to do and see, from heritage attractions to countryside walks and nature reserves.

It is also perfect for those that love outdoor activities such as swimming, golf and fishing.
