The Maples | About

The Maples is the second of our residential care homes here at The Beeches, first opening its doors in 2009. It has since become a well established residential care home providing an essential service for children with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour in Peterborough and the surrounding areas.

Residents at The Maples enjoy both the facilities of The Willows and those of The Maples.

  • Registered to care for four children aged between 10 and 19 years of age.
  • 52 week a year registered care.
  • 4 individual double bedrooms.
  • Brand new sensory room officially opened by Councillor Irene Walsh in March 2022 (learn more).
  • Fully equipped staff office and utility area.
  • Bright conservatory with double doors leading out to the large garden and sensory room.

Local area

The Maples is situated in the town of Peterborough, in Cambridgeshire.

It is located approximately 10 minutes from the city centre with many local amenities, shops, supermarkets and healthcare services nearby.

There are good transport links with a train station and bus station within walking distance.

Queensgate Shopping Centre is nearby and Ferry Meadows is only a short drive away.

There are a range of activities and sports that are available around the Peterborough area to keep residents positively engaged.
